Management Information Systems

The Management Information Systems (MIS) Department is responsible for overseeing and supporting all computer technologies used in the daily operations of Richland County Government.

MIS manages every aspect of the County’s automated information systems, including evaluating current and future technology needs. The department is tasked with designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining strategic plans to meet these needs. This often involves the acquisition and upkeep of computer hardware and software, along with the provision of ongoing technical support services.

The MIS Department also maintains a county-wide computer network, delivering desktop computing resources to approximately 360 users across seven locations in Richland County.
